Made the mistake of purchasing a poorly built Horton Real Tree 175 Crossbow. I belive manufacturing has been moved to China and the quality certainly reflects that. The bow did shoot reasonably well. However, it was rather discouraging to send the bow back to Horton for repair after shooting every 6-7 times. Left it at the store without asking for any money back. I felt relieved to get rid of it!

My new Ten Point Titan is (parden the pun) ten times the crossbow!

I just recieved my Horton real tree bow yesterday after
I made the mistake of buying a Barnett 400AVI and I could not be happier . This is the first time I have purchased a crossbow and I can tell you speed isnt everything as Barnett claims. This bow is a touch slower but extremly accurate right out of the box and to me that is the most important thing so if your looking for Quality and extreme accuracy you cant beat this bow for the price . My Barnett is on its way back to the store.

I purchased this crossbow and have been using it. It is a nice crossbow and works well. However, had I to do it over again, I would have bought the Legacy HD 175 -- it's basically the same crossbow with a few upgrades for essentially the same price.

The holes for sling swivels are made out of the composite material the stock is made from, and the first time my bow fell over, one of the claps broke off. Now I can't put a sling on it and will have to grind down the nub and properly install a metal swivel attachment (the Legacy 175HD already has the metal piece). Don't buy this. Get the Legacy 175HD.

On the bright side, the safety switch on this is slient and the trigger is pretty decent. Much better than the Hunter 175.

I SLOWY MOVED THE CROSSBOW INTO POSTION AND WHEN I HAD A STEADY REST I TOOK THE SHOT AND IT PLACED PERFECTLY IN THE HEART AT THAT RANGE . I WILL NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT A BETTER CROSSBOW THEN THE HORTON 175PSI CROSSBOW W/H SCOPE IT SURE IS A GREAT CROSSSBOW. THANK YOU FOR PUTTING QUALITY INTO YALLS PRODUCT.

This crossbow is worth the money. It is very accurate, and seems to be built very well. No complaints other than the weight ( around 10lbs without the quiver ). Also, the description states that it comes with three aluminum arrows, but mine arrived with three carbon arrows, which I would reccomend anyway.

Received the crossbow via overnight delivery - arrived on time.

Assembly was an issue. Rings for scope are steel and were not cast properly. I had to file the rings considerably to get the scope to lay in them properly. But I was able to get the proper fit. All other assembly went well.

Also, something else that I did not expect from a cross bow manufacturer at this quality / price level was flashing from the manufacturing process. I had to remove flashing along the rail on both sides - the camo layer stuck up above the rail and was nicking the bowstring. Also, I had to sand flashing in the area where the bowstring passes through the front stock, again -it was nicking the bowstring. I just did not expect to have to do this.

Took the bow out and it functioned well - sighting in was quick and easy. Accuracy and shot placement repeatability was excellent. The lines in the reticle allowed me to accurately place arrows out to 40 yards.

So - did I kill that buck? No, I was shooting from a 16 foot tall tree stand and did not fully account for the lack of arrow drop, shooting right over the buck at 30 yards. I'll be trying again after gun season.

This is a good value, good bow - I recommend it.
