Parker Raptor XP Review by Jeff, August 19, 2008

I was looking at bows from another famous brand, when one of the store associates told me I needed to check out the Raptor. He had just bought one for himself and was just stunned by the accuracy. Several other associates, some whom I had dealt with before and trusted – backed up his story. The rest is history. I was shooting more accurately with this bow setup after 10 minutes with it than I have been able to achieve in a year of shooting with my recurve. What a confidence-booster! I’d definately buy one again, though I don’t think I’ll have to.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend

Quiet, quiet, quiet. Accurate, fast and shock free. Just about everything you advertised about the Raptor is true. Thanks for a fantastic product.

I have shot about all the bows at Gander, and did not care for the other parkers like the trailblazer, wildfire, and so on. They were heavy, loud, and the risers were not even milled out. I figured I would test this bow out and see how it shot b/c not only did it look great, it was pretty light. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when the bow drew back easily at 65lbs, slung the arrow out pretty darn fast for a non aggressive solo cam, and did this very quietly as well. The built in string tamer is a nice feature. Good job parker for finally making a good mid priced bow!

I purchased a new Raptor a few weeks ago. I love this bow. The last new bow I bought was a Pearson Spoiler 19 years ago.
The Raptor is quiet, easy to handle, affordable, (did I mention quiet?). That has been the one thing everyone says when I shoot this bow, Quiet.
The only problem I have is the sims string leaches have broken or fallen off after 30 or 40 shots.
I have been shooting since I was 6 years old, and hunting with a bow since the late seventies. I bought a Parker for a couple of reasons.
1. My son bought one used and really likes it. (He had a Reflex that literally fell apart in two years).
2. My brother bought one for his 11 year old son last year (grow up with Parker). He killed 3 deer with it. The grow up with Parker program is a great idea.
3. You are located in our Great State of Virginia (I am a native Virginian).
I looked at Mathews, Mission, Bowtech, and still came back to Parker.
Keep up the good work.
