I recently got into bow shooting/hunting and I really enjoy my Ross Carnivore. Of all the bow I drew back the Carnivore seemed the most comfortable. It was easy to set up and very consistant considering I new at this. However just recently I have noticed wear on the short string that travels through the crank pulley. The serving is gone and some damage to base string. Looking at it the damage is coming from the lower cam when the string wraps around the lower cam axle. There appears to be sharp machining edges on the cam. Has anyone else seen this. I will be taking it to the dealer today and see.

I have always shot a mathews but was ready to try something new. I went out and shot a Carnivore and I have to tell you it is the best bow I have ever shot. Its quiet fast and little to no vibration. The ross boys defiantly knew what they were doind when they built this bow

Ross Carnivore was far and away the quitest and smoothest of the bows and blazing fast....I REALLY liked that bow. It is an excellent all around package, but where no other bow could touch it is in the quiet category. I've never heard a quieter bow...it will be a really nice hunting bow.

I love my Ross Carnivore!

The Ross is smooth shooting, has a smooth draw, and has extremely low to no shock.

Be aware - I hit a point where my bow needed to swap strings and get retuned. Ross says it's at 2500 shots.

I'm waaaaay over that mark. My draw stop can't seem to keep steady and locked in on the lower cam and the timing goes south due to string stretch.

So my Ross is a well used one. It's in the shop now, so I'm down a bow for at least 2 weeks. But it shoots like a dream when it's tuned up. I have had 3 Robin Hoods with that bow, so I know it's capable of great accuracy.
